- Exclusive and comprehensive focus on companies from China and India with investments in Japan
- Coverage of only small-cap and mid-cap companies
- Such companies engaged in active business with Japanese companies are selected
- 100 small-cap/mid-cap companies analytically selected from total 500 companies of China and India
- Each round of presentations lays focus on 25 companies
- Companies to present for 40 minutes with Q&A session of 20 minutes
The Edge here:
- A combined investment coverage of China and India more informative in assessing prospective complimentary industries
- Small multinationals are not prominently covered as big ones in global investment conferences
- Multinationals from China and India have more growth opportunities in Japan than pure domestic companies
- Opportunity to gain from the benefits and visibility of an ideal investment conference - completely online and virtual
- Participation of multiple executives from different locations worldwide
The 100 Small/Mid-Cap China-India multinational companies are selected based on the following sequential methodology:
Round One - 600 Companies Selected:
- Identification of 800 stock-exchange-listed multinational companies of China and India meeting any one of these requirements:
- Chinese multinational companies who are actively doing business with Indian companies
- Chinese multinational companies who are actively doing business with Japanese companies
- Indian multinational companies who are actively doing business with Chinese companies
- Indian multinational companies who are actively doing business with Japanese companies
- Ranking of these 800 companies in descending order based on market capitalization
- Exclusion of top 100 companies based on such rankings considering them as Big-Cap
- Exclusion of bottom 100 companies based on such rankings considering them as Micro-Cap
- Thereby 600 companies selected for further work
Round Two - 300 Companies Selected:
- From these 600 companies, final 200 companies were selected based on these 10 key indicators:
- Composite rank (based on total sales, assets, net income, and equity for latest year in US$)
- Sales growth rank
- Assets growth rank
- Profitability rank (net income to total sales)
- Efficiency rank (total sales to total assets)
- Market capitalization to shareholders’ equity growth
- Gain in stock price for last 12 months
- Shareholders’ equity to total assets
- Research & Development expenses to total sales
- Foreign sales to global sales
- Each of the above indicator was ranked individually for each company and average of rank values was used to compute deciles
- The top 300 companies with high deciles were selected
Final Round - 200 Companies Selected:
- From these 300 companies, deciles were computed using the quarterly financial data.
- Then, 200 companies with high quarterly deciles were selected for inclusion in the online investment conference of “ China-India Multinationals Expanding on Japanese Business: Small-MidCap 200”.
